The Last Toe ()

Altar. Dried blood streams and snow Sticking and unravelling Messy fragments of limbs Deep black appeals Escape into the realm of the lost The toes of the statues of the gods are scattered Hacking the world Half-performed rituals hang in the air Echoing ...... Pleasure must give way to survival Health has become the supreme rule So pleasure must be sacrificed on the altar People have made a revolution in their circle of friends And think they've succeeded It's not unlike what happens in the theatre. ...... * The last toe, meaning the little toe of the human foot, Derived from our relationship to the world: i.e. the relationship between the foot and the shoe.
