Madonna (1999)
Lovrinci, Eastern Croatia, 1991. Kuzma Glavan, a middle-aged carpenter struggling to provide for his sickly mother, starts a relationship with the much younger Ana Šokčević, a teacher at the village school. However, their seemingly idyllic family life is thwarted when the ethnic conflicts between Croats and Serbs in the area start growing violent.
