Alexander Elliot Anderson Salmond was a Scottish politician who served as the First Minister of Scotland from 2007 to 2014. He was the leader of the Scottish National Party for over twenty years, having served for two terms, firstly from 1990 to 2000 and subsequently from 2004 to 2014.
