Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao (born June 21, 1944) is an acclaimed Indian screenwriter, dialogue writer, playwright, director, and actor in Telugu cinema. Alongside his younger brother, Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, he forms the legendary Paruchuri Brothers writing duo. Together, they have written stories, screenplays, and dialogues for over 350 films, shaping commercial blockbusters such as Khaidi (1983), Karthavyam (1990), Samarasimha Reddy (1999), and Indra (2002).
