Simon Finney (born 16 September 1958) is a British camera operator. Born in London, England, he is the son of acclaimed actor Albert Finney and Jane Wenham. He has been married to Denise Elliott since 1991. Finney began his journey in film behind the scenes in the late 1980s, starting as a clapper loader on productions such as Henry V (1989) and Much Ado About Nothing (1993). Over the years, he climbed the ranks—serving as second assistant camera, focus puller, first assistant camera, and second unit director of photography—before establishing himself as a camera operator around the year 2000…
