Ranveer Singh (born July 6, 1985) is an Indian actor who works predominantly in Hindi cinema. He made his acting debut in the romantic comedy *Band Baaja Baaraat* (2010), winning the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He subsequently starred in the period romance *Lootera* (2013) and portrayed Peshwa Bajirao I in the historical drama *Bajirao Mastani* (2015), which earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Actor. He later portrayed Sultan Alauddin Khilji in the period drama *Padmaavat* (2018), for which he received the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor, and played the titular police officer …
