Rodrigo Brandão was born in the city of Santos Dumont, a small town in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. During his adolescence, he made homemade videos inspired by video games, TV shows, and movies. In 2007, at the age of 21, he independently shot the feature film "Era of the Dead," which tells the story of a zombie infestation in his hometown.
