Biography

Wageesha Salgado began her acting journey at a young age, initially participating in school stage dramas and the State Children’s Drama Festival, where she received numerous awards and certificates. Before entering the acting industry, she was trained as a singer, but her career took a different direction after she was cast in a commercial as a child. Her involvement in school theatre eventually led her to pursue acting professionally. She made her television debut in the ITN teledrama Eliya Kanda, portraying the second daughter of a family.
