Biography

Born in 1948. Graduated from Tama School of Art. Ever since he discovered 8mm film in the 1960s, he has been exploring for a new personal image by using celluloid. In 1970, he organized the independent screening group , and he has been working on various screening all over the country for more than 50 years. His main literary work “Filmmaking – an introduction to Kojin-eiga” is not only became a reference for independent filmmakers, but also played a establishing the concept of “Kojin-eiga” in Japan.
