Biography

Osama Al-Romani (1942–2023) was a Syrian actor and director. He was the younger brother of actor Hani Al-Romani. Osama bin Mohammad Ali Al-Romani was born in Damascus on Friday, July 3, 1942, into a Shiite family. The family name “Al-Romani” traces its origins to the village of Kafr Rumman in the Jabal Amel region of Lebanon. He began his artistic career in the 1960s with productions such as *Zuqaq Al-Mayleh* and appeared in the plays *Day‘at Tishreen* and *Ghorba*.
