Biography
Eugeniusz Modzelewski, a pioneer of Polish silent cinema, disappeared during World War II and likely did not survive. Historical sources indicate that, as an opera singer and filmmaker, he was imprisoned in the German Auschwitz concentration camp (camp number 18521).
