Edward Chalmers Hume was born on May 18, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He was an American film and television writer, best known for creating and developing the TV series Barnaby Jones (1973) and Common Ground (1990), and for writing the TV movie The Day After (1983). He was married to Mindy Elaine Huffman (May 18, 2012 - ?)
