Anthony Dwane Mackie (born September 23, 1978) is an American actor. He gained wide recognition for portraying Sam Wilson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, beginning with Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and later starring as the titular character in Captain America: Brave New World (2025). By 2026, he had also gained widespread internet recognition through the viral "Son" meme.
