Marta Romero

Biography

Marta Romero (February 17, 1928 - May 31, 2013) was a Puerto Rican actress and singer, considered one of the pioneers in Puerto Rican television. In cinema she is known for her participation in films such as Ayer amargo (1959) Amor perdóname (1968) and El señor doctor (1965). Romero retired from the art world in 1976, to enter the Evangelical Church Defenders of the Faith. At the time of his death, she had lived for seven years in a charity home as a result of the death of her husband, Elías Najul Bez, and being suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
