Samuel Bégin

Biography

Born in Valleyfield in 1999, Samuel Bégin is a Quebec screenwriter and director. Holder of a combined bachelor's degree in film and psychology from the Université de Montréal, he brings a deep human sensitivity to his approach. His filmmaking explores memory, nostalgia, and our relationship to time. Faced with the accelerating pace of the world, Samuel conceives of film as a space for pause and introspection, favoring a slow, contemplative aesthetic with spare dialogue.
