Biography

Gunasekhar (born June 2, 1964) is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer who works predominantly in Telugu cinema. He made his directorial debut with the action drama *Laati* (1992), winning the Nandi Award for Best First Film of a Director. He subsequently directed *Sogasu Chuda Taramaa* (1995), followed by the mythological feature *Ramayanam* (1996), which won the National Film Award for Best Children's Film.
